10 Easy Things You Can Do Right Now To De-Stress And Relax

    1. Go outside and look at the leaves on a tree

    There are scientific studies about looking at the color green but you can read them later

    2. Stop looking for ways to relieve stress. Stop trying to figure it all out.

    The internet is going to make more stress. Put it away

    3. Tell someone who understands.

    Don’t unload or dump your problems on them and DO choose the right person, but let them know that you are stressed

    4. Long deep breathing

    Inhale counting to 4
    Hold 2
    Exhale for 4
    Hold 2

    5. Take a bath

    6. Acupuncture and/or massage

    7. If you are going to eat something, eat sour foods

    Sweets in general and spicy foods only make matters worse

    8. Dig your toes into the sand and listen to the sounds of water

    9. Start a movement practice Qi Gong or Yoga

    10. Freak out, go all in with your stress, pull your hair and scream!

    It’s a last resort but you will be able to look back and see if it worked for you or you can laugh about how silly you looked. Don’t let others tell you how to feel and if you want to experience stress fully, go for it!
    If you want to try those other 9 things, that’s ok too. But if you are stressed sometimes the only way out is through, and that’s acceptable
