10 Ideas for Cruise lines
First off, I have never taken a cruise! I just have never really been interested in doing it. That may change. I have talked to so many people in my life that have done it and the stories are mixed as far as if they had a good time, a great time or an awful time. I can't say that all the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive or even negative so I thought it would be a good subject to try to come up with some ideas for that industry. Since I have never been on one, I am certain that some of these ideas could exist so feel free to comment if any turn out to be fact.

1. A Top Tier plan for enhanced service
I suspect this exists (don't feel like doing the research right now) but for an additional and quite lofty cost, one could receive ridiculous, over the top service like a personal concierge that not only books food reservations and activities but you get to do activities that 98% of the guests don't. The concierge will even take you on a private trip on a small boat in and around the cruise ship, and take you around the different places you will visit during the trip. You will get to dine at one exclusive restaurant, once with the captain and a celebrity (if they're part of the cruise like entertainer/sports/actor etc).
2. Top Shelf Alcohol Package
Most likely exists in the space, but this could be a tier based program for those with specific tastes..some like wine, others like mixed drinks, maybe beer for others. So they could develop different packages customized for each group of liquor including a mix of all of them for some that like variety. Bottle service could also be a perk to the program.
3. On Board Segway Rentals
I have zero idea if this is a thing or not. The idea is that you can rent a Segway while on board for hours, days or your entire stay. When you mention a Segway to most people, they tend to think about the original, large version they started with, but today, they have a lot of different products including scooters, three wheel Segway's and more. What would be better would be a personal Segway driver that could take you where you want to go.
4. A kid friendly shop and drop
I know some families like to go on vacations together, but the adults like to have some private time too, so the cruise line could have a kid friendly place including a store that they can shop at with a spending limit already pre-determined. If the child attempts to go over the limit, they they will reach out to the parent or guardian to let them know. They can then have lunch and or dinner while the the adults do whatever they want. They can always check on their child through the app and see their child on the cameras and know their location as well through a wearable app. These activities could either be for a few hours, half days, full days but not for more than one.
5. Clothing Rentals
Packing sucks. Planning on what to wear can be a pain too. So, the cruise line could help you in a few ways. Depending on the occasion, activities and locations you will visit, they can customize clothing to match that. It would cost a lot less than purchasing the clothing and less for you to pack. It would also help with your return trip because you will most likely be bringing more back with you than you came with, and then your are struggling to pack or you end up having to ship some items back home where your things are at the mercy of the shipping and mail systems. The clothing would be based on the sizes you provide and you simply leave the clothing behind when you are done.
6. Passenger based competitions
Through an app, passengers can post scores on online games, gambling games and games found on board like shuffle board, mini golf, puzzles, beer pong, bingo, bowling etc.. This way, you get to play these games with whomever you're with, and people all on the ship that you haven't even met.
