10 Initial questions about NotePD

I just found this today. I've followed James and his journey for a long time, so I certainly know about the 10 lists. I could read around, wait and see what others are doing, look for help files. These questions might already be answered somewhere. I'm just thinking about what my initial questions are, and I have no doubt I'll get the answers one way or the other.

    1. Can you edit your lists?

I'm almost certain you can, but I'm also questioning (see the next one—and, yes, you can edit list because I just did with this one).

    2. SHOULD you edit your lists, even if you can?

Move on. This is more like what a sculptor does than a painter. A sculptor gathers raw material and then removes what doesn't belong. Maybe I should look at the lists later, but not edit.

    3. Should I generate all the titles first?

I already answered this one for myself. I started out writing about each idea (#1 and 2), but then I thought that the lists I've been making for a long time now never had that. Maybe the whole nonjudgmental flow is best served by generating the "titles" first. So I did that from this one on. And, yes, for me it works better that way.

    4. Can I change from private to public to private?

Either this is answered in FAQ or help files somewhere or I can find it out with a test list. Either way, answer will be forthcoming. Related: can I post a list for free and then later switch it to paid?

    5. What would make someone pay to see a list?

    6. Should I set out to make a list that someone wants to pay to see, or just make a list?

I'm thinking about something I saw in the FAQ: if I'm going to only give half my ideas away for free, I will start hoarding ideas, and the process probably won't work anyway (my take on what I read, not a quote). Assuming you can change the availability of a list, I'm guessing the "quality" of the ideas will be better if I don't first think about charging for it.

    7. Is this site going to keep a free tier forever?

I'm betting so, but things change.

    8. What would happen if I get all my clients and students to start making lists and using this site?

Wide open. Could be more work for me, could be higher quality experience for clients and students with less work.

    9. Does it matter whether you just make the list without writing something for each one?

"Matter" can mean a lot of things. What I have in mind here is engagement with other people if the list is public, and what effect the "write something" has beyond the "title."

    10. How many people have already found this, and how long has it been going?

OK, that's two questions, but in my mind they're related. I know it's beta, so these are really subparts of one question about the beta.
