The Luddites were known for smashing the automated looms. initially some lost their jobs but the textile industry employed 10x the number of workers just a few years later.
Barriers to entry are lower, and with AI you can make a mediocre product in a few days. However it is also possible to make something extraordinary in a month that may not have been possible with a lifetime of work.
People will expect more. Niches will become narrower and narrower and the long tail will get longer and wider.
individuals will be able to produce sophisticated products with the help of AI. A properly motivated person can create a series of books, movies and games by themselves with the help of AI.
In pursuits where a high quality project would take a year and 10 people it will soon be done with 2-3 people in a month.
even though there will be more people doing a particular activity, it will be challenging to make a full-time living as a creative artist without using the power of AI.

As automation continues for mass market foods there will be more opportunities for people to make mushroom based drinks, exotically created honey and other niche items.
