10 mysteries I'd love to see solved

This list was inspired by a game of Clue!

Ordered by: most to least niche

    1. Who was the Zodiac Killer?

    0

I watched way too many History Channel shows as a kid for this not to be on my mind.

    2. Who stole the Rembrandts from the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in the 1990s?

    0

This is a very Boston-specific item. Even if we were to recover the paintings, by now they might be damaged beyond repair.

    3. What happened to Amelia Earhart?

    0

It's unlikely we'll ever know this, but our hypothesis about her crashing is probably right.

    4. What do the Linear A tablets say?

    0

Who knows what clues to the ancient world they might contain? Although, they could just as well be something mundane like records of grain stores.

    5. What's in KFC's secret recipe?

    0

I would love to be able to replicate this at home, but the likelihood of KFC releasing their signature recipe is approaching zero.

    6. Who built the pyramids, and how are they so precise?

    0

We have theories about this, but maybe it was aliens!

    7. What causes gravity?

    0

The world of physics is chock-full of unexplained mysteries.

    8. Are we alone?

    0

    More alien talk...

    9. Does God exist?

    0

I don't see us finding a way to figure this out.

    10. Why are we here?

    0

This question kind of follows from the above.

Great list! I think several of the answers are 'aliens'!

Thanks! And yes, aliens do seem like an all-purpose answer, don’t they?

Good questions. :)
As regards ancient technology and the age of the great pyramids: Check out the work of Graham Hancock.

Clue was my favorite board game as a kid. I still have the (very tattered) game in my closet. Also, if you haven't seen the 1985 film based on the game, check it out. It's a must-see classic.

Very interesting list!

Yeah, I still love playing Clue. And I really love the movie too (especially the fact that there are 3 endings). Apparently they're in the process of a re-make!

Try basting your chicken wings in vinegar, then coat them in flour, breadcrumbs and Italian seasoning before deep frying them. I hope that's close to your question!

Yum! Even if that's not the Colonel's secret recipe, it still sounds delicious 🤤

I usually grill my chicken without the breading, and the flavor is out of this world (alien reference!) 😀
But be careful, because the vinegar is highly flammable!

I think your last three questions are all somewhat related which are touched brilliantly upon by Dr. David Gooding and Dr. John Lennox in a book series called "Quest for Reality and Significance": 1.) "Being Truly Human: The Limits of our Worth, Power, Freedom and Destiny", 2.) "Finding Ultimate Reality: In Search of the Best Answers to the Biggest Questions", 3.) "Questioning Our Knowledge: Can we Know What we Need to Know?"

Start with the first book in the series if that's all you can get right now. Another book worth mentioning from a scientific perspecitve is Dr. John Lennox's book "Cosmic Chemistry: Do God and Science Mix?"

I thnk you'll find these books thought provoking and compelling at times while challenging your own worldview. 🙂
