Thank you for not settling. Thank you for not being a victim, though you had every reason to be one. Thank you for doing whatever it took to make a better life for your children. Thank you for Huckleberry jam and pies. Thank you for learning the monkey walk and for your poetry.

Thank you for having me, when so many thought it was the wrong choice. Thank you for loving me. Thank you for all the clothes you made me. Thank you for the beautiful blankets you made. Thank you for cheese popcorn, slumber parties and the best 16th birthday party a girl could ever ask for.

Thank you for having me even when others told you I was going to ruin your life. Thank you for working 2-3 jobs. Thank you for becoming a fireman and then a paramedic. Thank you for all the fun. Thank you for the month long road trip to Alaska. Thank you for the week long houseboat trip. Thank you for playing basketball and teaching me handball.

Thank you for being the best teacher there ever was. You showed me how to think.

Thank you for loving me no matter what. You truly show me God every time we talk.

Thank you for being my friend. The one who really sees me and understands my thoughts. Thank you for not saying anything but listening as I cried my broken heart out to you. Thank you for encouraging me in my writing.

Thank you for being the quiet strong man that you were. If there were more men in this world like you this world would be such a better place.

Thank you for making me strong. Thank you for working hard so I could have my dream of being a stay at home mom. Thank you for being willing to work through the hard stuff.

Thank you for letting me be one of they guys. Thank you for making me feel safe and protected when we all started realizing I wasn't one of the guys. Thank you for making me feel pretty. Thank you for wanting to be friends without benefits because we all wanted to remain friends more.

The best for last. Thank you for brining so many wonderful people into my life. Thank you for my salvation. Thank you for bringing me closer to God. Thank you that the best is still yet to come.
