10 products where generics are always worse than the brand name

This list was inspired by my dad's purchase of the wrong kind of cream cheese. *Shakes head*

I think artisanal versions of any of these products are probably better than the brand-name version, but here I'm just comparing brands and generics.

    1. Oreos

    0

    A classic choice!

    2. Cream Cheese

    0

    Today's culprit.

    3. Coke

    0

    Store-brand coke... no thank you

    4. Fig Newtons

    0

I really dislike Fig Newtons to begin with, never mind the off-brand version...

    5. Toothpaste

    0

The store brand just doesn't taste fresh

    6. Ice Cream

    0

Not only is the quality worse, but the flavors often are too.

    7. Boxed Mac n' Cheese

    0

Kraft, Annie's: take your pick, but don't pick the generic.

    8. Cereal

    0

My understanding is that generic frosted mini-wheats are particularly bad

    9. Condiments

    0

Ketchup, mustard, mayo... all of the above

    10. Tootsie Rolls

    0

I think this applies to a lot of candy

😃 Thanks, James! I had to Google Hydrox, but it looks like a hard no 😆
