10 Random Notes From My Journals (My 2nd Brain)

Me: writing makes me feel like a poet. Writing gives me wings.

Me: “Well, you may feel like a poet, but you sound like an idiot,” quoting Ronald from A Knight’s Tale.

This is the conversation I usually have with myself as I start thinking about what to write.

The interesting thing about committing to writing is life becomes inspiration.

Scarcity becomes abundance. Life becomes the interweaving of words and more words.

Hitting a golf ball takes a second, but to hit the ball like a pro, many intricate and interrelated actions need to happen in cohesion. The weight distribution, …. All these need to coordinate.

And you can do all the right things, but then a little whisper from mister wind and your ball is off course.

You need to prepare, and practice, work on the foundation, but ultimately you just have to trust that everything will work out. And that you will connect the dot going backward.

And, swing like it is your first and last swing.

In theory, the last swing should not affect the next swing, but it does.

This reminds me of the beginner's mind concept.

The best leaders have empathy for their teams. If you're in charge of a team, you need to consider their needs. What barriers do you need to remove to enable them to do their best work? How can you ensure diversity of thought in your team? How can you empower your team to take action?

Should core values like integrity be explicitly stated as part of an organization's core values? Shouldn't it be a no-brainer?

Starting a company is like jumping off a cliff and assembling a plane on the way down, quoting Reid Hoffman.

My note:

Pathways thinking - Who not what. It DOES NOT take 10,000 hours to master a skill. It takes a mentor and a master.
