1. Great way to learn things

2. There’s a tiny niche for every audience. Today I was watching a guy’s video on microtonal music theory.

3. Ads are not overly intrusive so far

4. It is very easy to post your own videos

5. I’ve learned how to fix hundreds of things like drywall patching, dryer repair, car repair and stuff like that

6. The long form interview or podcast format is great at double speed

I have something like this on in the background while I’m working. I find it by listening to a few hours of conversation you can really get to know somebody in ways that are possible with the sound by interviews of TV.

7. Even some AI content is worth watching

I have seen some history videos that are obviously generated by AI editing other videos into one. This is probably temporary, but it’s not so bad.

8. Fail videos

could watch these all day

9. Historical reference like a Kool-Aid commercial from the 1970s

10. Full music concerts that might not be available anywhere else

11. Long interviews with interesting people: many non celebrities

12. Independent documentaries and histories
