10 things I want to learn in a year
1. A second and third language
Working on Mandarin now but would love to learn another language - say Korean or Japanese
2. How to take more risks
I'm more risk-averse than I think I am which makes me do or avoid things
3. How to be a better father and husband
I don't think you're naturally born to be a father or a husband - I believe both are skills you can learn
4. How to be a leader
I'm at the point in my life between management and being an executive and I believe leadership is a skill that anyone can learn
5. How to sustain my energy and fitness
One thing I've noticed with everyone that gets older: health and fitness is significantly more important
6. How to avoid the markets
I'm not going to lie, I certainly wanted to pull out some money when the markets went down recently and I need to better learn how to manage my emotions and think long-term
7. How to think long-term
How would your decisions change if you had to live with them in a hundred years? A thousand?
8. How to move closer to a career I love
Quite frankly, still working on this one but I think a single career isn't for me
9. How to create more income sources
James always says that millionaires have 7 different income sources - and I'm not saying I'm a millionaire or close to one but it makes sense to diversify your income so I'm not relying on one job
10. How to be grateful
Gratitude is the key to being mindful, spending less, and happiness
