10 things to do for my perfect day
Your list may vary
1. Wake up early
Avoid the hustle and bustle of other people's demands by waking up early. What that looks like for you is dependent on when you sleep, what commitments you have, etc.
2. Being active
Whether it's stretching, active recovery, cardio, walking, or kettlebells, I try to be active every day.
3. Writing
Notepd is a big part of this but I also write in my journal, write Medium articles, write LinkedIn articles and do writing for my book project.
4. Meditation
I like to do 10 min in the morning and 10 min right after lunch.
5. Work
Whatever form of work as you define it. For me, it's working a 9-5 and on the weekends, it's working on my book.
6. Plan
Planning helps me be proactive with my day. No plan = being reactive to other people's demands.
7. Read
I think reading is one of my most important things I do every day and if I don't schedule the time to read, I never get around to reading. I also make it as easy as possible to read - putting books around the house, having an e-book reader on my phone, having the Kindle handy while I'm eating, etc.
8. Spend time with family
There's no better reminder of why you were put on this earth.
9. Less is more
Get rid of something every day - maybe it is junk around the house, maybe it's deleting emails you no longer need. You give yourself more space to love the things you do own by getting rid of things you don't need.
10. Think and improve
If I have a spare moment, I think about a pain in my life I can improve. Recently for example, I found the kitchen sink faucet to be a pain so I replaced it with a pullout faucet instead. Next, maybe a project to replace the shower head.
