1. Email and notifications
If you're on your laptop, batch the emails and notifications to only hit you at certain hours in the day
2. Your smartphone
3. Block time-wasting websites
Youtube, social media, etc.
4. Clutter on your desk
Only have what you need for the task at hand
5. Browser windows
It's easy to get into rabbit holes doing 'research'
6. Apps that aren't relevant to the task
7. Your smartphone
8. Hunger
When you're hungry, all you are probably thinking about is food
9. Fatigue
Take a nap or get enough rest so that you're not sapped by fatigue
10. Whatever's in your bowels
James says that whenever he's blocked when writing, he'll go to the washroom. I can't say the same thing has worked for me (I think he's a better writer than me) but I can tell you that if I have to go to the bathroom, it's hard for me to concentrate on anything else
