A student has to spend 3-4 year in any of his chosen college.
1. Infrastructure.
Main campus building, canteen, library, connectivity, greenery, open lawn etc.
2. Hostel.
If an outsider, a hostel is going to be a lot valuer. Food, laundry, daily essentials and a group of like minded(needed) people stays together.
3. Region.
Most of the regions have bitter history due to colonial era, our differences, egos. Choose region with least conflict, the ones which are highly conflicted as of today can be neglected altogether. Don't talk about any kind of history around that region.
4. State NITs.
State NITs have 50% seats reserved for candidate belonging to their own state. So, demographic divestment amongst students are going to be 50% lower than the normal institute with no regional bias.
5. Campus Placement.
Having a prominent college is awesome as it helps in getting a placement after completing out on degree. This is what makes IIT what they are today. If you are planning to Join any government Job or looking to take up computer science than this factor has lower value as comparison to its past.
6. Committee.
Multiple committee are available across the college boards like training placement cell, alumni board, theater group, entrepreneurship cell, technical committee etc.
7. Nearby Big College.
College ecosystem flourishes if a tier3 college has tier2 college in nearby vicinity.
8. City.
If its a tier 2 city than you can easily find the lion's club, Rotract, Yoga groups, cycling group very easily. Join them and have an awesome adventurous life.
9. Alumni Base.
These people does matter a lot but don't depend on them to have any meaningful guidance..
10. Questions
Write each one of them and find your own answers. Kill All.
