10 things you need to remember if you are going back to work after a long hiatus

    1. Wear appropriate clothing

    Pajamas, sweats, hoodies may be okay but don't speak professional

    2. Find a room if you have many meetings

    You don't want to disturb others around you

    3. Make a lunch

    It's not so easy when you're not at home

    4. Bring a mug

    If your office has a coffee machine or you can go out and buy some

    5. Bring a notebook (and a pen)

    Taking notes on your laptop is okay too.

    6. Bring your ID / badge

    If you work in a secure place, you'll need it

    7. If you're commuting, remember to bring a book, headphones and transit passes/tickets

    8. Wear a mask

    Better to be safe than sorry

    9. Bring the right tech

    If you have a special mouse, headphones you like to use, or a mobile charger, you'll need it at the office

    10. Wear good shoes

    I used to have my work shoes at the office but I would walk to the office in runners
