10 ways to build positive relationships with coworkers and managers

    1. Manage expectations

    Under promise and over deliver (or maybe be like James who says to over promise and over deliver)

    2. Chit chat

    Even during work meetings, finding time to talk about personal things will help build relationships

    3. Find commonalities

    Kids, travel, food - all things that most people have an opinion about

    4. Help out

    Sometimes, your coworkers or managers will ask you to do something outside of your job responsibility - help out.

    5. Put in a good word

    When they're not around, and ideally to their bosses or coworkers - it'll get back to them.

    6. Hang out outside of work

    7. Bring a can-do attitude and infectious enthusiasm

    8. Give 101% in everything you do with them

    I mean put in 101% in everything you do, but put in extra effort around people you want to build positive relationships with

    9. Dont be afraid to challenge them

    10. Cover for their mistakes
