    1. Quit chasing customers and create fans.

    Do things for your fans without asking anything in return.

    Control the experience, the process, the participation, and everything you can to make sure you have the biggest impact. And, always be a plus - nothing is complete; everything needs a plus.

    Here is the PLUS: Look for proactive speed and ease for your fans b/c if you are doing something good for your industry you are still probably behind (i.e. competing with Amazon)
