1. Quit chasing customers and create fans.
Do things for your fans without asking anything in return.

Learn what your soon to be fans hate about your industry/business/market/organization.
4. Own the problems in your industry.
The core word of policy is “police”, no fan needs to be policed. Give fans freedom and opportunity
5. Break free of “this how it has always been done.”
This is not easy but worth the scrutiny.
6. Create an experience/product where fans feel like they are getting such a great deal they want to support it and never feel manipulated.
7. Don’t make ZERO TOLERANCE policies because 1 or 2 people take (or have taken) advantage of you.

Control the experience, the process, the participation, and everything you can to make sure you have the biggest impact. And, always be a plus - nothing is complete; everything needs a plus.
11. Speed and ease.
Here is the PLUS: Look for proactive speed and ease for your fans b/c if you are doing something good for your industry you are still probably behind (i.e. competing with Amazon)
