A Productive Weekend
1. Visited our friend, Phil
Phil has a small farm. He mentioned to Chris the other day that people are always dropping round and he quite likes that. So, today, Chris wanted to pop round. Phil was there but busy so we had a wander around the paddock, checked out the sheep, the status of the blackberries (nowhere near ripe but in abundance), the orchard with plums and apples, and Douglas and Eric, the two sheepdogs.
2. Latte and milk
After visiting the farm, we called in at a nearby milk bot for coffee and a refill of milk. On the way home we drove down a narrow lane which is a cut through. It takes you between two cattle grids and through a field with cows, and a couple of calves. I drove very slowly so that I could take a good look at them.
Inspired by a fellow Twoser, I've been simplifying my Twos setup which has paid dividends and given me more clarity, fewer items on my Today page, and a better monthly plan. The whole process motivated me to get things done and I cleared a good number of items from my to do list.
I use Tana mostly for planning my writing workflow and logging ideas for things to write about. I've spent some time tweaking my Today view so that it resurfaces ideas and notes, gives me a list of writing things to do, and also plans my menu for the week. I get a lot of ideas from tweets and have implemented a couple of new ones this week.
We had a big organise in the garden recently after being away for quite a few weekends. We also ordered a log store for the wood we use in the log burner. So, I'd moved a few things around to make room for it. I had a few more tweaks to make this weekend. The garden's looking great now!
