Argument resolutions with your spouse

Shit, right now we are having a fight about some music band and its present :) 

I don't want this.

    1. Take a break: If the argument is becoming heated, it can be helpful to take a short break to cool down and collect your thoughts.

    2. Listen to your partner: Try to really listen to what your partner is saying, and try to understand their perspective.

    3. Use "I" statements

    Instead of accusing your partner of something, try to express your own feelings and needs using "I" statements. For example, "I feel hurt when you speak to me in that tone" is more effective than "You always speak to me in a hurtful tone."

    4. Validate your partner's feelings: Show your partner that you understand and recognize their feelings, even if you don't agree with them.

    5. Look for common ground: Try to find a solution that meets both of your needs.

    6. Compromise: Be willing to give a little in order to find a solution that works for both of you.

    7. Avoid blame: Try to focus on the problem, not on blaming each other.

    8. Seek outside help: If you are having difficulty resolving an argument, consider seeking the help of a mediator or therapist.

    9. Apologize: If you have done something to hurt your partner, be willing to apologize and make amends.

    10. Remember why you are together: When resolving an argument, try to keep in mind the love and commitment that brought you together.
