Attention To Detail Includes Inconvenient Truths

Ever found yourself acting quickly without gathering important facts or perspectives, later wishing you had acted differently? "Confirmation bias" and "action bias" might be culprits.

Confirmation bias is our tendency to search for, pay attention to, interpret, and remember information that confirms our preexisting beliefs or values, while overlooking contradictory evidence.

Action bias is our inclination to act, even when it might be wiser to look for more information or step back.
