Build your ideal 10-stop travel itinerary
This is modeled on one of several "world cruise" packages offered by the major cruise lines. In this case, the waters traversed, history, and routes taken are as important as the ports of call to me. These itinerary covers 6 of the 7 continents and has intentionally left out areas of the world I have visited before. We'll leave from the east coast of the United States and travel southward to start.

1. Devil's Island, French Guiana
Now going much further south to
2. McMurdo Sound, Anarctica
Continuing westward looking for warmer weather in
3. Papeete, Tahiti
And then onward to
4. Cairns, Australia
After visiting the Great Barrier Reef, we're off to
5. Singapore.
From there we'll enjoy the luxuries of a modern cruise ship during the long trek to
6. Dubai, U.A.E
After transiting up through the Suez Canal across the Med, we'll find ourselves in the Adriatic, visiting the homeland of my grandparents,
7. Koper, Slovenia
After leaving the Straits of Gibraltar in our wake we set sail for the cooler waters surrounding
8. Reykjavik, Iceland.
From here, it's only a short voyage to the rocky shores of
9. Qaqortoq, Greenland.
