Daily 10 Minute Workout
I had this idea this morning, in the middle of an off-day workout that took about 10 minutes. A lot of people say they don't have time to exercise but I think just about all of us can find 10 minutes. I should be clear that 10 minutes day is not sufficient for anything but improving. Anyone doing nothing, will get a little healthier, a little more fit but this is not a short cut to really being in shape or really being jacked. Something is clearly better than nothing though.
1. Day 1
Jump rope 100 turns of the rope (actually less than a minute if you already know how to jump rope)
As many pushups as you can do
2. Day 2
Jump rope long enough to really challenge yourself
50 air squats
3. Day 3
Jump rope (this is one of the best things you can do and you don't need a gym)
Dips using a chair or coffee table
4. Day 4
Jump rope
Farmers carry using water jugs for weight. Try 3 gallon jugs and see if you can walk 100 feet total.
5. Day 5
Jump rope
Deadlift using the water jugs, or maybe a large bag of dog food or something else that is relatively heavy.
6. Day 6
Jump rope
Chinups or pullups, yes you will need to find something to hang from
7. Day 7
Jump rope
Plank as long as you can
8. Summary
This is not comprehensive, you can substitute anything in, running up steps would be a nice substitute for jump rope every so often for example. For legs you can also work in lunges and split squats.
The point is everyone has time to make improvements and you will improve if you do this. You will get fitter and healthier versus doing nothing. You will also improve to do more reps, go more distance and jump rope for longer. The biggest gains will come early on. If you can only do 5 pushups now, next week or the week after you'll be able to do 6 but you gotta start.
