Debunking the Myths. (1 min 10 sec)

    1. A Guide to Rethinking Life's "Truths.

“You need to finish everything on your plate.”
No, you don't. Learning to listen to your body is more important than cleaning your plate like it's a chore.
“You have to go to college to be successful.”
The real lesson? Success isn't tied to a degree — it's tied to what lights you up inside.
“Be nice so people will like you.”
Niceness as a currency for approval? No thanks. Authenticity wins every time.
    “Big boys/girls don’t cry.”
Emotional repression disguised as strength? That's a one-way ticket to bottled-up pain.
    “Money doesn't grow on trees.”
Actually, abundance isn't about scarcity — it’s about mindset. But sure, keep thinking it's all struggle.
“Good things come to those who wait.”
Waiting passively? Or creating your own opportunities? Let's not confuse patience with inaction.
    “Life isn’t fair.”
It's only as fair as you make it. Don’t use this as a license to accept mediocrity.
“Respect your elders no matter what.”
Age doesn’t automatically equal wisdom or deserve your respect. It’s earned, not given.
“You have to settle down and get a ‘real’ job.”
As if the 9-to-5 grind is the only "real" life. Creativity and passion are the real jobs.
    “Winning is everything.”
Nope. Growth, learning, and how you play the game — that’s what matters. Winning is just a temporary high.
These “truths” get passed down like family heirlooms, but when we start peeling them back, it’s clear they’re holding more illusion than insight. Time to rethink the script.
