Get Off My Lawn
1. Newer music sounds the same
I couldn't tell you the name of one Taylor Swift song. Not that she doesn't have a ton of talent but there are so many that sound like her to me that I can't tell any of them apart. That contrasts with genres from the 60's into the 90's where they do sound different to me. Tom Petty's music is pretty distinctive for example.
I can see the argument that 80's alternative like INXS, Simple Minds and maybe the entire Pretty In Pink sound track might all the same to some people but I have a terrible ear for music and can tell them apart.
2. I have to mute just about every commercial
I wrote a list about this a while back. Add all the Kevin Hart commercials to that list. He's got so many, I don't get it, it's really odd to me and he is nails on a chalk board as bad as the Burger King commercials.
3. Early dinner out?
We went out for dinner the other night and we went kind of early to avoid the crowd and having to wait. I think we were eating by 5:30. At home we don't eat early like that.
4. Greater frustration with "paper cuts"
I had a couple of very frustrating days earlier this week. I was getting texted/called/emailed/slacked in such a way that I couldn't go five minutes without finishing up a call or having a device make noise. This was pretty much two days straight. My frustration is a sign of being less patient. I do this to myself of course having many constituencies.
