God as Oneness, Not Creator. (2 min 38 sec)

Preview

    1. "God is Oneness, not multiplicity" challenges the traditional notion of God as a separate creator who brings forth a world filled with suffering and duality.

    2. In his cozy workshop, a Dad lovingly crafts a stool for his beloved son, John.

With a keen eye, he handpicks the finest wood, ensuring each piece is flawless. Every measurement is exact, every cut deliberate, as he pours his heart into the creation. Each tap of the hammer and slice of the saw speaks volumes of his dedication to craftsmanship. There's no room for imperfection here – wobbly legs or creaky joints are simply out of the question. Dad's expertise shines through, guaranteeing that John's stool is not just functional, but a true work of art, a tangible symbol of his unwavering love and devotion.

    3. The story portrays Dad as a skilled craftsman who wouldn't create an imperfect stool.

Similarly, a God of Oneness wouldn't create a world filled with suffering, fear, and duality. The presence of these elements challenges the flawless unity of Oneness.

    4. The story emphasizes Dad's love and dedication in crafting the stool.

Since God is Oneness, everything is an expression of that Oneness is good and loving. Suffering and negativity can't be part of this expression.

    5. Impediments and tests.

The question of why we have imperfections like war, sickness, disease, and disabilities arises from the traditional creator view. If God created us with flaws to "test" us, it implies separation and judgment. However,  in Oneness there's no need for testing or separation. We are already part of the perfect whole and our experiences, even challenges, are part of the unfolding of that Oneness.

    6. Logic and Oneness.

Traditional logic operates in terms of cause-and-effect, which leads to questions like "Why suffering?" However, Oneness transcends linear logic. Suffering and imperfection are not created but arise from misidentifying with the separate self instead of our underlying Oneness.

    7. The only thing that makes this topic difficult or complex is the refusal to question everything you think you think and everything you think you know.

    That just ain't so.
