How can we save Notepd?
I've already wrote a few ideas. Time to continue the list.
1. Stickers
Similar to how we have different levels for how long you streak is, but for a whole batch of different things.
One for comments, one for getting lot's of likes, challenge wins, ect.
This is something that can be displayed on your profile like a trophy wall.
It gives new users goals on what to do. Quickly integrating them into the Notepd community.
2. Podcast list
James set's up a challenge based around a future guest on his podcast.
The Notepd community comes together and write lists that would be of benefit to the guests.
James's can then share the best Ideas to them on the podcast and let them know they can find more Ideas on this site.
If even a few guests join Notepd that will quickly lead to a huge influx of their fans joining.
3. Communities
Join communities were you can view only lists around a certain topic. We can tag our lists as community relevent. Maybe keep a limit to how many communities you can share it with.
We have tags currently, but due to everyone having different ways of tagging relevant lists may be missed. Having a set few communities may make finding relevent lists easier.
4. List of the day
Each day a new topic is given to everyone. This gets everyone on the same page, every day. Allowing for quick interaction eg.
Wow. Great idea I didn't think of that.
Example day challenges
Top ten song's to dance to
Top ten TV shows
Underrated movies
Book's that changed how you think
This allows new members to quickly get started and allows even experienced members to always have something worth writing about.
5. Diary/Journal
I love using lists to journal and as a holiday diary. Having separate list options for these would be nice.
Diary prompts would help people get started.
What did you do today?
How would you rate today?
If you had the chance to do it over again, what would you do?
What was the highlight of the day?
What's your plans for tomorrow?
And an option to share a few photos to remember that day would be nice.
These would be default as private lists. That change in thinking about what the purpose of the list should lead to a new way of thinking.
6. Calender
An easy way to jump back to any day and see what your lists from that day. Icons indicating the type of list would also be a bonus.
7. Location based lists
When I go on holiday I like to write about that area. What if you could view all the lists written in a certain area.
If it's a generic list it doesn't need a location set, but ones about the city would be useful to others visiting that city in the future.
