How to avoid distraction

    1. Get a separate room for work

    Having a specific room for work will help your brain associate that space with focus and concentration.

    2. Work during times you know you'll be uninterrupted

    If you can, schedule your work for times when you know you won't be interrupted by family, pets, or other distractions.

    3. Turn off electronics

    TVs, radios, and phones all emit noise and visual stimuli that can distract us from our work. Turning them off will help minimize distractions.

    4. Take breaks often

    Breaks are important for our concentration levels. Make sure to take a few minutes every hour or so to walk around, get some water, or just clear your head.

    5. Set goals for each session

    Having specific goals in mind for each work session will help keep you focused on what needs to be done. Make sure these goals are realistic and achievable so that you don't get discouraged.
