1. We are the eternal, infinite spirit that is one with God.
The "I" is not the individual personality, but rather it is the Christ consciousness that is shared by all beings. This true self is the "way" to God because it is the direct path to the experience of oneness with the Divine.
"I am" doesn't refer to Jesus as a separate physical being. Instead, it is the universal truth of love that resides within all of us. Following the "way" and finding "life" becomes a journey of awakening to this truth.
The true self is also the "truth" because it is the unchanging, eternal reality that underlies all appearances and illusions. The world we perceive is a projection of the mind, and the truth of our being is the love of God that is always present, even if we are not aware of it.
Finally, the true self is the "life" because it is the source of all that exists. The life we experience in the world of form is a pale reflection of the eternal, infinite life that is our birthright as children of God.
The way to God is through forgiveness and the release of judgment and attack thoughts. By forgiving ourselves and others, we are able to let go of the ego's belief in separation and experience the unity that is the truth of our being.
Let us be clear. Jesus' statement isn't about worshipping him as an external figure. It's about recognizing the Christ consciousness, the way, truth, and life, as within us all.
