I started practicing Russian on busuu.com regularly
About five days ago. We'll see where that will lead. My current goal is getting to A2.

On one hand, learning a challenging language is good brain training. On the other hand, I would like to travel to this huge country full of strange people and visit Petersburg, for example.
I checked out LingQ too. And to be honest: I didn't like the interface, though I am a fan of Steve Kaufmann. Busuu is very okay. Like a slightly improved version of DuoLingo, with a better community aspect. And relatively cheap. What is it like being in Russia now (during the war)? And what are you doing there? I'd love to hear more about that.
I was sick my whole time in Moscow so I couldn't explore much except for the red square and the Christmas market (which was very impressive). Now I'm in Samara at my girlfriend's family's, starting to explore a bit. It doesn't feel weird so far (I mean it feels weird to be in Russia but I don't feel a weird "there is a war" vibe). But yeah I'll happily tell you more later! I'm here until the 9th.
