1. Get a "safe" corporate job and make sure they put me in a cubicle.
2. Work as many hours as possible at the job to impress the 10 middle-management bosses to which I report.
3. Join as many social media sites as I can and spend as much time as possible reading about other people's faux life experiences and biased political positions.
4. Diligently read the news every day so I can be inaccurately informed about things taking place in the world over which I have zero control.
5. Fall asleep every evening while gorging on a cheap microwave dinner and watching the latest "must watch" reality television series.
6. Be sure to spend my limited time each weekend at the local shopping mall purchasing useless consumer goods for my 600-square foot apartment I can barely afford. Use a credit card to purchase the goods whenever possible.
7. Dream of traveling the world but never make or execute any actual plans. Just stare longingly at beautiful places on Instagram that I'll never visit.
8. Upgrade to the latest $800 dollar iPhone because everyone else is doing it.
9. Suppress my inner dream to create beautiful art because "it's just a waste of time" and "who would care what I make anyway?"
10. Now ask yourself: If life is as truly precious as we would think it is with only a month left to live, then why we would ever, at any point in our lives, engage in even a single one of these activities?
