Indian Tikka Masala Tacos

- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 (15-ounce) can diced tomatoes
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon heavy cream
- Salt to taste
- 12-15 soft taco shells
- 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded
- 1/2 cup cilantro, chopped
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- To make the tikka masala, heat the olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add the onion, ginger, and garlic, and cook until soft, about 5 minutes.
- Add the garam masala, turmeric, cumin, coriander, and black pepper. Cook for 1 minute.
- Add the diced tomatoes, chicken broth, tomato paste, honey, and cream, and bring to a simmer. Simmer for 15 minutes.
