It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick." (Matthew 9:12) (1 min 55 sec)

    1. This is a call for all of us to recognize that we need some spiritual healing.

Sickness is  a manifestation of the belief in separation from God and the denial of our true nature as a perfect, whole, and eternal being.
The "sick" are those who are lost in the illusion of separation and are experiencing the consequences of this belief, such as fear, guilt, sin, and suffering. The "doctor" is the Holy Spirit or the inner teacher that guides us towards the truth of our being.
We all have the power to choose between the ego's thought system of separation and the Holy Spirit's thought system of unity and love. By turning to the Holy Spirit and accepting the Atonement (the correction of our misperceptions), we heal our minds and awaken to our true nature.
Those who are "healthy" have already accepted the Atonement and have aligned themselves with the truth. They no longer need the "doctor" because they have found the inner peace and wholeness that comes from remembering their oneness with God.
However, as long as anyone of us believes in separation, the whole Sonship (all of God's creation) remains sick. Therefore, it is the responsibility of those who have awakened to extend love and healing to those who are still lost in the illusion.
Jesus is reminding us that we all need spiritual healing as long as we believe in separation. By turning to our inner teacher and accepting the Atonement, we heal our minds and awaken to our true nature. As we do so, we become instruments of healing for others who are still lost in the illusion.
