My Hero's Journey - part 1

I've worked for a Christian non-profit for 18 years. I have visited many countries and met the most interesting people under sometimes very challenging circumstances. Now, God has given me a new calling. One that involves letting go of the 'security' of the steady job and choosing myself while trusting Him.

Last week I told my two line managers that I'll be leaving this year. (Our labor laws are a bit different than those in the US, I won't go into boring details.) They were absolutely shocked, but I feel I need to do this.

To quote Donald Miller: I want to live a better story.
