My Substack Idea

Thinking about starting a weekly digest and would love feedback.

for context-this would target Orthodox Jews.

1. Vort

Vort (rhymes with court) is a Torah idea. Every week Jews read a portion from the Torah and this section would have a short, shareable idea.

2. Thought

A thought provoking article/podcast/book/quote. Not based in text but can be based on rabbinic text/article/podcast

3. Report

A review on a piece of media/event/current event/thought piece.

Here is where I'd have to do most of the lift. Finding something every week to report on.

A Vort sounds like something that you could do every week forever. It would help focus your Substack to being very specific and consistent which seems to help.Your subscribers will know what to expect but you could still cover a huge variety of material.

That’s the beauty-I never run out of material. Can also do a new approach from a commentary each year
