Nova: "I was very concerned that women seemed so desperate for men. I don't have that experience."

Maverick: "You don't know that experience, or you don't have it?"

Nova: "I don't have it."

Maverick: "You mean, you're not desperate for men?"

Nova: "I'm hardly desperate for anything, really. I feel that whatever is mine is looking for me. There's nothing that I can own or possess anyway."

Maverick: "How did you find all this peace?"

Nova: "Do you want some of it? Ha, ha, ha."

Maverick: "Just leave me out of this type of stuff. I don't know if I want anything to do with it. Thank you very much."

Nova: "Well, peace comes to you by being peaceful, you know. You are peace. You become peace itself. You become the source of what you would like to witness in others."

Maverick: "Yeah, but you've had some tough times. Yes, you have. I mean, I know a little bit about your personal life."

Nova: "Well, I know, but apparently, when we do encounter difficult things in life, rather than running, we can get to a place in ourselves where it is pretty peaceful. Then you don't feel desperation; you feel the world is pretty much the way it is, and you realize that 'I can choose peace instead of this.'"
