Personal Independence
When the United States became an independent nation (which was a gradual process), this created an opportunity for its Founders to identify what principles mattered most and what systems would support them.
Ironically, our continued attachment to some of those systems β our π₯π¦π±π¦π―π₯π¦π―π€π¦ on them β has created significant societal issues, as the world has greatly changed while the systems haven't changed enough, in my opinion.
Whether you agree or not, fortunately, each of us has the autonomy and πͺπ―π₯π¦π±π¦π―π₯π¦π―π€π¦ to identify what matters most to us and to establish our own systems and habits that promote those values in our life and work. We can also evolve them as we grow.
At the same time, we are πͺπ―π΅π¦π³π₯π¦π±π¦π―π₯π¦π―π΅, so we also need to speak with others to align on what we value and how we want to collaborate.
What matters most to you, and what systems and habits are you actively developing, strengthening, and evolving to support the life, work, and relationships you value? π€
