I love beautiful board games, but I do have some pet peeves about some of the games that I’ve played less successfully.

    1. Complicated story with very little background context

    We’re being asked to do something with very little WHY

    2. Multiple pieces (cards, chips, shapes, punch out tokens, etc)

    Lots of pieces to assemble the board or boards, loads of cards and tokens

    3. Multiple decks of cards that are not distinctive.

    4. Multiple boards to set up within a game

    5. Lots of proposed actions to take turns, but bad instructions

    6. Instructions for single players are not up front, they are printed at the end of the instructions.
