Pointing in the Wrong Direction

I want you to notice something in the image above.
If you pick up what I'm throwing down having this realization will save you a ton of heartache, pain, and disappointment.
I'm going to keep this simple so as to not confuse anyone.
All fingers are relaxed (pointed at no one or no thing) and the thumb is extended pointing to one person.
This person isn't blaming himself or others - He's taking 100% responsibility for his life. What a novel idea.
1. This image is a bit different from the one above.
Notice how one finger is fully extended pointing at someone or something.
Three fingers are relaxed, pointing back at the person doing the pointing. Could this be a clue?
Of course it is, but for some reason, the world still isn't hip to this clue.
The blame game keeps you stuck, imprisoned, and unenlightened. It stunts your growth.

2. We are still triggered by the same old things.
Someone said something that I didn't like or agree with.
Someone made a comment that I felt was insensitive.
I believe that Mary should have said what she said another way.
I view your comment as a personal attack as if the world revolves around me.
We have erroneously believed that "It's not what you say but how you say it."
Perhaps a more intelligent way to think about it is "It's not what you say or do that's important - it's all in the way I'm choosing to interpret it in the moment."
I've got some breaking news for ya! You are never upset for the reason you think you are.
3. Why do you allow what other people say or do to take up residence in your mind rent-free?
Let's be honest, you could choose to think about anything at any given moment.
You could choose to think about nothing at all.
You are choosing to think what you think and then have the audacity to blame your suffering on someone or something else.
Every moment of each day you willingly give your power away.
4. Please show me the benefits of blaming and ridiculing another.
I'll wait. I haven't been able to locate one good reason to blame anyone including myself and God knows I have tried.
There is never a justification for an attack. NEVER.
5. All the world does is chase one shiny object after another.
All of what upsets you is about nothing.
It's just one big distraction and you fall for it hook, line, and sinker every time.
6. The world is benevolent.
If you don't see the benevolence you're not looking deep enough.
Either we're all sinners or we're all saints.
We all win or nobody wins. The rules of the game have already been determined.
