Pros and Cons of Switching from Xfce to Gnome

I have been using Xfce on my Linux PCs for over 15 years. Maybe it is time for something new. On the other hand, this would not lead to any real productivity gains.

1. Pro: Using a different desktop environment can be gymnastics for the brain
2. Pro: Gnome has cool animations
3. Pro: Those dynamic workspaces might be useful
4. Con: It is some work
5. Con: I have invested a lot of time in customizing Xfce
6. Con: I don't need it
I could do something else with greater benefits
