With one person dying by suicide every eleven minutes according to the CDC, the need for effective treatments has never been more urgent. While traditional approaches help many patients, psychedelics for depression show remarkable promise. Psilocybin, the active compound in “magic mushrooms,” has demonstrated impressive results, with studies showing 71% of individuals with major depressive disorder responding to treatment and half entering remission.
