This video (a TEDx talk by a divorce attorney who represents fathers) mentions the kinds of questions fathers are typically good and bad at answering. I thought I'd come up with my own list (hopefully I never have to be on the stand though).

I think it's important for parents to know the answers to these types of questions about their children, not just for legal purposes, but for building a strong relationship with them as well. Knowing their favorite color, food, and teacher's name can show that you're interested in their lives and what's important to them. It's also important to know their doctor's name and any allergies or medical conditions they may have.
