Reasons the universe is weird
14-18 are from the AI Assistant.

1. Its immensity and how everything is so far apart
2. Within that immensity, there's our planet with intelligent life on it
And we don't know whether there is such a thing elsewhere. If there is (which a lot of people assume must be the case), it's probably super far away given how unlikely it seems to be for life to occur.
3. Dark matter and dark energy
Whatever they are and whatever the difference is.
4. Fine-tuning: If one tiny little detail had been different, the universe would not have existed
Dr. Paul Davies, noted author and professor of theoretical physics at Adelaide University:
“The really amazing thing is not that life on Earth is balanced on a knife-edge, but that the entire universe is balanced on a knife-edge, and would be total chaos if any of the natural ‘constants’ were off even slightly. You see,” Davies adds, “even if you dismiss man as a chance happening, the fact remains that the universe seems unreasonably suited to the existence of life—almost contrived—you might say a ‘put-up job’.”
From this article.
Richard Dawkins, one of the most famous atheists in the world (The God Delusion was one of the first books I read out of my own volition, back when I was 16), has said that it's the best argument for God that he's ever heard, although he specified that "it's still a very, very bad argument" (which I didn't know until I looked it up, but thought it would still be interesting to mention).
While some deists and theists happily use the fine-tuning example as evidence that there is a god, others say that it rather points to evidence of a multiverse: There are many universes (maybe an infinity, I'm not sure), and assuming the number is gigantic (or infinite), then it makes sense that at least one (or several) would appear fine-tuned, and we just happen to be in one of them and able to make the observation.
5. Yeah, what about God?
People say that you can't get something from nothing, therefore there must be a god. Okay, so where does God come from? Why would God be an exception to that? I always thought it was a cop-out to say "Well, god works outside of the laws of the universe, so it's different". Meh. Either way, it's crazy.
6. Love
7. Black holes and wormholes
8. Entertainment lawyers
9. The internet
10. Infinity
11. Evolution led to the human brain, which used its creativity to create things, advance civilization, share ideas, and eventually everything came together and somehow, James Altucher launched NotePD and now we're all here,
connecting synapses with each other in specific and unconscious ways and sharing the results of this in the form of writing on the internet.
12. So why wouldn't psychic powers, reincarnation, or the afterlife be real?
How are these any less weird than the weirdest things previously mentioned???
13. This list could contain millions of items
Trillions?
AN INFINITY?
The items below are from the AI.
14. The fact that the universe is expanding
It's strange to think that the universe is constantly getting bigger and that one day it will end.
15. The fact that time is an illusion
It's strange to think that time is an illusion created by our brains in order to make sense of the universe.
16. The universe is billions of years old
The universe is estimated to be around 14 billion years old. That means that the light from some of the farthest objects we can see has taken billions of years to reach us.
17. There are billions of galaxies in the universe
Each galaxy contains billions of stars. And there are billions of galaxies in the universe. That’s a lot of stars.
18. There are other universes
Some scientists believe that our universe is just one of many.
