Refrigidater
Again, @coachmattfried provides inspiration. What additional features should this appliance have?

1. Surface Reader
All flat surfaces read bar codes and measure weight, providing accurate data on how much of each item you have as well as when things are close to expiring, and where they are located. With a yellow (soon) or red (now) back lighting so you can find them.
2. Optional Pantrydater
Same concept, but for non-perishable foods.
3. Automatic Shopping List
Select meals for the week. Creates shopping list based on what you have and what you need.
4. Recipe Suggester
Based on what you have in stock, ideas on meals / snacks you can make with what you have.
5. Nutrition Counter
Identifies members of the household by phone proximity (or visual scan of some sort) and advises each person of what they -should- be eating / drinking that day to meet their nutritional goals.
6. Optimum Cooling Location
When you scan something, the surface lights up to show where to put it for proper refrigeration. Can also adjust cooling by sector to adapt for different contents.
7. Snack Nag-a-matic
Want to eat that ice cream? Be prepared to learn how many calories you're eating, the effect the sugar will have on your body, and how you really need to drop a few pounds, so wouldn't you rather have a nice piece of celery?
8. Meal Voting
Based on what's available and who's around, sends out a notification for voting on what's for dinner that night.
9. Random "Get Delivery" Feature
Once in a while, the family gets the chance to order out for dinner.
10. Cheat Day / Meal Calculator
Eating right this week? Then you get some goodies... but not Johnny who had that chocolate yesterday.
