Today we drove from West Virginia into Kentucky. It's my first time in Kentucky.
1. Many rural roads in Kentucky are not wide enough for two cars side by side
2. Kentucky seems to be richer and have more resources than West Virginia
3. Really cool geological features
4. Many rural houses just keep junk in their front yards
5. One house had a giant 20-foot tall skeleton on their front yard
6. Cabins like the one I'm staying at probably rake in $10,000 in revenue per month per cabin, and they own many
7. Probably stating the obvious: Rural America is conservative, urban America is liberal
8. Much respect to coal miners. They have a tough job
9. Kayaking is so fun, especially underground in a flooded coal mine
10. They do love biscuits here
