Same Script, Different Cast: (1 min 34 sec)

    1. How we keep repeating relationship patterns.

Ever notice how you seem to date the same person over and over, just in a different body? That’s because we’re not changing the script, we’re just swapping out the actors.
Our past wounds and unfulfilled dreams shape our current relationships. We project these old scripts onto new partners, hoping they’ll finally play the role perfectly. But no matter how many Bobs or Susies we date, the story remains the same.
Think about it: if you felt unloved as a child, you will seek out partners who are distant or unavailable, subconsciously trying to rewrite the past. Or if you felt undervalued, you would choose partners who don’t appreciate you, replaying the old narrative.
Parents do this with their children too, trying to give them everything they felt they lacked. But we don't know that we already have everything we need. The things we think will fulfill us — whether it’s a partner who loves us a certain way or spoiling our kids—are just illusions. When we get them, they don’t work because they were never the answer.
The real solution is to change the script, not the cast. This means healing our past wounds and recognizing our worth. Only then can we create new, healthier patterns in our relationships.
