1. Phonograph (Cylinder Record Player)
Replaced by vinyl records, then digital music formats.
2. Slide Rule
A mechanical analog computer used for calculations before calculators became widespread.
3. Floppy Disks
Used for data storage, now replaced by USB drives, SSDs, and cloud storage.
4. Telegraph
Once a revolutionary communication tool, it’s been replaced by phones and the internet.
5. Carbon Paper
Used for making duplicate copies before photocopiers and digital printing.
6. Penny-Farthing Bicycle
The large-wheeled bicycle of the 19th century, phased out for safer bike designs.
7. Hand-Cranked Cars
Early cars required manual cranking to start the engine, now replaced with electric ignition.
8. Vacuum Tube Computers
Massive early computers using vacuum tubes, replaced by transistors and microchips.
9. Rotary Dial Telephones
Once standard, now replaced by touch-tone and digital smartphones.
10. Mimeograph Machines
Used for copying documents in schools and offices, now replaced by photocopiers and printers.
