Ten Things On My Desk
Long day at work, two hour unplanned convo with an old friend who needed someone to listen, and I need to get this done so I can eat dinner, so here we go...
1. PC Box
One day I'll find a better place for this... when I get my corner desk!
2. New Cable Modem / Router
New and shiny... and working.
3. Diffuser
Today's smell is root beer. Rare I use it. Usually peppermint, cloves, lemongrass, or eucalyptus.
4. Calculator (with tape)
Pen holder metal "screen" cup. Holding mouse #2, a couple flash drives, and a cough drop (ok, that's now being consumed).
5. Lamp "#2"
The one actually on the desk, not the one on the PC box.
6. Two Pain Remedies
An arthritis rubbing oil and a DMSO cream.
7. Small metal basket
Holds the wallet and keys, an old Boy Scout knife (my Dad's?), a couple of watches, and half a Salon Paz back patch. Why there? Historical inertia.
8. Post It Notes
In a golf-themed holder I got from a co-worker over thirty years ago.
9. Spiral Bound Notebook
For stray thoughts and to dos.
10. Old Jewelry Box
Was my maternal grandmothers. Round plastic. Partially clear bottom, small logo that says "Laurelton Arch" and "Amerith" Only things in it are a penny and a $15 Target gift card (may have to check if there's a balance).
Update - while I couldn't find this specific one on Ebay, there are others that are apparently celluloid.
