Ten Things This Vacation

Today... awaiting a callback from Optimum. After a couple hours and a few issues with my son "knowing better" internet is working, but can't change the SSID or password on the router. Don't want to reset all of them on TVs, etc around the house.

Including a two hour nap at 6am after waking up.

Bills be damned (kidding).

So, I asked ChatGPT for help with the wifi issue. They gave an answer, but before calling again I used the router page from their main website and was able to reset the wifi! That site ("cloud control") owns the wifi parameters, which explains

Continued to have issues with internet drops. Tech suggests getting a new cable modem. Ran out to the Optimum store (which has moved, apparently), got a combo modem / router. Now running fine.

My son came with me to the Optimum store. Afterwards, we stopped at the White Castle. Two times in a week... must be vacation.

Vacation that it. Been keeping up on e-mails, know that I'll have more than the usual January crapload of work starting Monday.

Thought I had done this in the morning. Good thing I got the reminder e-mail, otherwise my 281 day streak would have ended. Back at this tomorrow AM.
