Ten Things to Get Done Before Pulling The Trigger
Some due diligence
1. Cost
Equipment cost, rent, advertising,
2. The Main Focus
The product I'm focusing on has many avenues and I've learned the hard way that you can't do all of them or you're cooked. So I'm also doing some private lists that have the details.
3. Advertising
I'm super interested in how the TT shop works which in and of itself is a whole set of 10x10 lists on how to go about it. The plus side is the reach is still pretty enormous though. I still need to find out what's all involved. How many units they require etc
4. Sampling
This is also needed to be put into cost but being that it's a unique product it seems like it could be an easy win and something interesting for content.
5. Distribution
Obviously it'll be small at first since the test phase needs to be done first but at some point this will have to be addressed
6. Regulation
Find out what the laws are and make sure I'm not violating them from day one. That gets expensive in more ways than one!
7. Wholesale vs. Straight to Consumer
The pros and cons of both. Lower pricing because resellers need to make a profit in wholesale. Flip side smaller purchases and dealing with the public is usually more difficult but a much higher mark up
8. Consider the demographic
This will be a BIG part of the testing phase while the product is for any age, you never know which niche will take off.
9. Getting Paid
It seems like from just 5 years ago there are a million new ways to go about getting paid and accepting CCs. This is never the fun part plus using a platform and/or own website and/or, and/or, and/or. . .
10. While Online Will be the Main focus
I could also look at locally getting the word out. Though I hadn't thought of this really until making this idea list
