Ten ways to improve church membership

    1. Charge a fee

It's free to join a gym. But if you want to work out in the best gyms in the world, you have to pay a fee. The same is true for many private clubs, including golf courses. It's free to join a church but it should cost something to join the best churches.

    2. Pay now or pay later

If you're joining a church, you can pay once and never be charged again (like with most gyms). Or you can pay monthly (if there is some sort of benefit that continues). For instance, if you are paying $50/month and there are ten Sunday services each month then that's 50% off of what they would charge if you went every week.

    3. Clergy should be rated like Uber drivers

If your clergyman gets too many bad reviews from his congregation then he has to improve or get off the platform. This will help ensure quality clergy and also give people more choice about who they want to listen to and learn from.

    4. Make it easier for clergymen AND congregations to leave without guilt

The guilt associated with leaving one’s religion is hard on both parties. Make it easier for everyone involved so they don’t feel guilty about moving on.

    5. Make it easy for congregations to split into multiple congregations based on beliefs or geography

If some members want an orthodox synagogue while others want reform Judaism, let them split apart into two separate synagogues without guilt or fighting over real estate assets. The same goes for other religions as well as non-religious groups that use churches as their venues (business meetings, etc).

    6. Have tiers of service or payment so people can pick which "churches" they attend and which religious services they attend within those churches (if any)

For instance, I might pay $1000/year for 10 tickets per month ($50/ticket) to go see any movie I want at any theater chain (Netflix type model), plus unlimited access to all religious services at all churches I am members of (like an uber-church model), plus discounts on various business seminars I might want (like an online university model), etc. There could be dozens of different models like this but this gives an idea how people can pick and choose what works best for them within the overall system of "churches".

    7. Use AI tools like "chatbots" so people can talk with clergy whenever they need help with life issues instead of waiting until Sunday morning when most clergy are busy preparing their sermons

And make sure these chatbots don't ever preach morality since that's not their job but instead answer questions about morality in general as well as provide links to where someone can find answers specific to their needs and desires
