The Illusion of Yesterday. (2 min 20 sec)

Preview

    1. A friendly conversation between two students of A Course in Miracles.

Joe: You know, it's fascinating how the Course talks about time being an illusion. Just think about it - yesterday is gone, vanished into thin air. And yet, our minds cling to it so tightly, as if it's still here with us.
Rick: You're absolutely right. We get so caught up in the idea of a past that no longer exists. It's like we're playing this game with ourselves, convincing ourselves that yesterday was real and had some sort of lasting impact.
Joe: Exactly! And the Course teaches us that this longing for yesterday is a symptom of something deeper – a fundamental misunderstanding in our minds about the nature of reality.
Rick: It's almost as if we're addicted to the idea of a linear timeline, where the past has already happened, and the future is yet to come. But in truth, as the Course reminds us, there is only the eternal present moment.
Joe: Precisely. And when we get caught up in the illusion of yesterday, we're essentially denying the present moment and the infinite possibilities it holds. We're clinging to a past that no longer exists, instead of embracing the reality of now.
Rick: It's such a subtle trap, though. Our minds are so conditioned to think in terms of past, present, and future that it's challenging to break free from that pattern.
Joe: That's why the Course is so valuable. It helps us recognize these illusions for what they are and gently guides us back to the truth – that there is only this present moment, and it is perfect, whole, and complete.
Rick: Absolutely. And when we let go of our attachment to yesterday, we open ourselves up to the infinite love and peace that is always available in the present moment.
Joe: Well said, my friend. It's a journey, but one that's worth taking, step by step, letting go of the illusions and embracing the truth of who we really are.
